Home to John and Carol Coppinger, the founders of Remote Africa Safaris, Tafika is a small and authentic camp on the banks of the Luangwa River, in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park. Due to its location on the northern side of the beautiful Nsefu Sector, Tafika – along with its two satellite bushcamps on the other side of the river – is amongst the most northerly of South Luangwa's operational safari camps. Thanks to the remote locations, activities are carried out in quiet areas of the park that see very few other visitors.
Tafika accommodates a maximum of fourteen guests who can enjoy the comfort and beauty of six spacious chalets nestled in the shade of giant leadwood trees on the banks of the Luangwa River. Facilities are en-suite with outdoor showers! This remote area is known for its outstanding game viewing. Activities here include morning and evening game drives, walking safaris, cultural visits to the local village and school, cycling safaris and microlight flights (for special May safaris only).
